You may be like me, having some unused domain names. They might be used to generate some money or at least use the natural traffic of the domain
There's many parking systems ... but I choosed to use the most know one sedo, which requires you either to change you domain name servers to sedo ones or to set up url forwarding. This is what I'm gonna speak about.
I won't detail how you should register an account on sedo or how you should add you domain to sedo. This is your job.

One time or another, you'll be facing the problem that your webserver isn't powerfull enough as it can't handle all the incoming traffic.
You may at this moment consider using load balancing the charge between more than one server.

In order to secure your mutualized web hosting server, you might have considered running each vhost under different accounts using suexec mechanisms, but it's not really handy because you must have a copy of the php-cgi binary for each vhost somewhere with the appropriate rights, and then when updating php you're pretty embarrassed.
There's something easyer to do, and it's by using suphp. Configure it one time, and then you don't have to care much.

Let's say, you want to access a remote server on ports TCP 7333 and 809, but they are closed by your network administrator and you just can connect via SSH to the remote server (this howto works with a third server that could be used to tunnel connections). This is far enough, you can use PuTTY to forward the connections from your local machine to the remote ports via a SSH connection.
